HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $52.07-$53.63 (Hourly rate set by CBA)
This position includes a competitive benefits package.
Bi-weekly accrual of 3.39 hours (0 to less than 48 months)
Bi-weekly accrual of 4.93 hours (48 months but less than 108 months)
Bi-weekly accrual of 6.47 hours (108 months or more)
11 paid Holidays (outlined in CBA)
Sick Leave - Newly hired or transferred employees into the bargaining until shall receive up front/front-loaded prorate sick leave hours based on the remaining weeks in the calendar year including the week of hire at the rate of 1.33 hour per week up to 56 hours

Oversees and performs maintenance on helicopters, excluding repair of systems according to drawings, blueprints, directives, technical manuals and safety procedures. Inspects the repair and modification of aircraft structures, structural components, and engines of complex to extreme difficulty.
- May be required to perform any AM1 task.
- Oversees removal and installation aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components.
- Oversees and services and lubricates aircraft and subsystems.
- Oversees preparation of aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
- Oversees and performs scheduled inspections and assists in performing special inspections.
- Oversees and performs limited maintenance operational checks and assists in diagnosing and troubleshooting aircraft subsystems using special tools and equipment as required.
- Oversees and use of and performs operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.
- Oversees preparation of forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.
- Oversees, removes and disassembles defective parts of the aircraft.
- Oversees maintaining the supplies and perform preventive maintenance.
- Plans, conducts, and supervises aircraft technical inspections, including repairs and modifications to aircraft structures, structural components and engines.
- Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions.
- Participates in maintenance test flights and operation checks as required.
- Ensures compliance with aircraft configuration control, oil analysis Program and test measuring diagnostic equipment calibration.
- Performs additional duties, including maintenance duties, as requested.
- Adheres to company policies and safety programs (Safety-first mentality).
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is desired; certification of education level is required.
- Valid up-to-date A&P license with IA (preferred )
- Shall have three years aviation maintenance experience, three years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two years on the assigned Mission Design Series (MDS). All Mechanic experience must be within the six most recent years.
- Shall have five years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience. Shall have at least one year's experience inspecting MDS aircraft assigned. All Inspector experience must be within the ten most recent years. Back shop TI shall have at least one year's experience on components being inspected.
- Must have satisfactorily completed the 15-series career management field Advanced Leadership Course (formerly BNCOC), AMOC, or possess a Federal aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) (preferred).
- Valid Driver's License.
- Must provide own tools/toolbox. Recruiters will provide toolbox requirements to candidates upon selection.
- If assigned to flight duty, shall possess a current, valid ARMY or FAA Third Class Medical Certificate and meet the qualifications in AR 95-20.
- Must be able to work, day shift, swing shift, night shift, and/or weekend shift (if applicable) - As required for CBA.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Passport and be able to travel internationally (applicable to OCONUS work sites).
Clearance Requirements (as applicable)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI(T1) Public Trust Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization to work at this facility.
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems on the assigned MDS.
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, hydraulic press machine, and those listed in the assigned MDS Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC).
- Advanced knowledge of technical publications and Logistics Information Systems.
- Able to prioritize workloads to maintain schedules on assigned projects
- Possess the level of experience to inspect all required aeronautical-type maintenance to be performed by aircraft mechanics.
- The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
- Exceptional communication skills, leadership abilities, and personnel management skills are required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- May be required to lift/push/pull heavy objects whose weight may exceed 50 pounds.
- Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through e-mail and various software applications.
- Will handle dirty parts and lubricants.
- Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to pass a Respirator Physical and Fit Test qualification.
- May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.
- May work in maintenance shop or outside.
- Must be able to work in a shop where the environment is drafty, noisy, and dirty.
- May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
- May be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts or vehicles.
- May be expected to work in austere environments and all-weather conditions.
