Description
GCI is looking for a highly motivated and experienced expert Cyber Technical Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible for the below:
- The resource shall collaborate with various stakeholders, including those responsible for targeting, exploitation, and other operational tasks, as well as analysts and senior leaders, to develop and execute cyber operations.
- The resource will utilize available cyber threat intelligence and related tools to inform and support cyber operations. This will involve leveraging knowledge of various data repositories and analytical tools to derive insights that drive operational decisions.
- The resource will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing cyber operations, from initial planning to full implementation. This may involve developing technical solutions, establishing operational capabilities, collaborating with other agencies, and preparing necessary documentation and approvals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Proven experience analyzing complex data to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for action.
- Demonstrated experience working in or closely with a cyber operations organization, preferably in a role such as a cyber operations specialist, targeter or tool developer, with a background in national security or defense.
- Proven experience working with field-based teams and collaborating with international partners.
- Proven experience working with organizational systems and processes to develop formal and informal communications with international partners and stakeholders, as well as contributing to documentation and process development.
Desired:
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the China topic; Chinese language.
- Proven experience and/or knowledge of analyzing various data sources to identify and track targets, including messaging data and network information. Familiarity with secure communications platforms is also desirable.
- Proven experience and/or understanding of computer networking fundamentals, including the ability to analyze and understand complex network architectures. Familiarity with network analysis tools and techniques, as well as knowledge of network protocols and devices, is desirable.
Education Requirement
- BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
