Work You'll Do
As a Project Delivery Specialist on the project, you will:
- Develop, execute, and continuously refine comprehensive communication and public relations strategies aligned with organizational goals and priorities.
- Manage media interactions, including drafting press releases, prepping spokespeople, coordinating media briefings, and responding to inquiries to ensure accurate and timely coverage of organizational activities.
- Produce high-quality, compelling written materials-such as press releases, articles, speeches, fact sheets, and website content-for diverse audiences.
- Organize, promote, and support public events (e.g., town halls, briefings, outreach activities), ensuring strategic messaging and effective community engagement.
- Oversee the organization's presence on digital platforms and social media channels, creating and curating content, monitoring engagement, and tracking metrics to enhance reach and influence.
- Coordinate with leadership and internal teams to ensure clear, accurate, and consistent messaging across the organization.
- Monitor public sentiment, proactively address issues, and support crisis communications as needed to safeguard the organization's reputation.
- Gather and analyze communication metrics and feedback to report on effectiveness and inform strategy improvements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the media, government officials, community leaders, and partner organizations.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.
- 3 + years of professional experience in public affairs, media relations, or corporate communications.
- 2 + years of experience in developing and executing communication strategies, and campaigns.
- 2 + years of experience utilizing and managing social media management platforms Hoot suite, Sprout social, or similar platform.
- Ability to travel 10-15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Preferred:
- Master Degree preferred.
- 3 + years of experience with creative design or media production tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
- Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) or related professional certifications.
- Prior experience in crisis communications or high-stakes issue management.
