Future Technologies Inc. (FTI) is in search of a Test Specialist to join our team in Dahlgren, VA.
• Provide engineering support required to review, assess and analyze all levels of system documentation to identify and define test requirements.
• Provide documentation of requirements and design specifications, test plans, procedures, test results, change proposals, and logistical training.
• Evaluate test coverage with respect to test type, test validity, test scenarios, test conduct, test results, and problem report content.
• Make recommendations for improvements in accordance with Government processes.
• Analyze test and evaluation data to provide an assessment of deficiencies uncovered during testing.
• Conduct, participate, or provide witness in tactical system ship-based and land-based test and evaluation, certification, and training events to be held at Government or Non-Government venues.
• Resolve Fleet identified system issues and evaluating problems reported against the deployed systems in accordance with the current system requirements as described by the Navy regional maintenance centers.
• Ability to define task details, estimates, and schedules for project management.
Requirements
• Three (3) years of experience with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering, or seven (7) years of hands-on Combat System experience.
• Experience with weapon and combat systems, and/or launcher systems.
• Experience testing and evaluating combat system interfaces or interface controls.
• Familiarity with Configuration Management processes.
• Knowledge of Vertical Launching Systems and design (VLS) is beneficial.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work independently and with others, across multiple organizations, to meet established goals within schedule-driven timelines.
• Active Secret security clearance.
