Federal Technical Writer / Analyst

Location: Remote (East Coast preferred)

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Federal Technical Writer / Analyst to support high-quality proposal development and technical communications across federal programs. This role is ideal for a strong writer and analyst who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling content while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced federal contracting environment.
You will play a key role in shaping proposal responses, maintaining technical documentation, and supporting communications that directly contribute to federal contract wins.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal teams and customers to develop high-quality proposal response documents and related communications.
Analyze, synthesize, and communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, audience-appropriate manner.
Develop, organize, and maintain a document library supporting systems, solutions, and proposals.
Support RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance.
Demonstrate adaptability and curiosity by learning and documenting new technologies in a dynamic environment.
Apply strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Contribute positively to team culture through collaboration, flexibility, and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience supporting the federal business space.
Proven experience in government technical writing, including:
RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses
Technical and management volumes
Experience supporting task order (TO) responses under:
IDIQ
GWAC
BPA-based contracts
Familiarity with the federal contracting environment, including GSA schedules and contract vehicles.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and partners.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading capabilities across multiple communication formats.
Proficiency with documentation and collaboration tools:
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Google Docs
Adobe Acrobat
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience
Experience with 8(a) STARS GWAC programs.
Established relationships with large government prime contractors.
Participation in successful federal contract wins, particularly delivering custom software solutions.
Familiarity with a broad range of federal concepts, practices, and procedures.
Additional Qualifications
Ability to work with minimal supervision, receiving guidance from senior team members as needed.
Strong ability to identify issues and develop solutions independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to engage with business stakeholders and translate their needs into effective documentation.
Open to feedback and continuous improvement through constructive critique.

Bachelor’s degree required in:
