HOW AN TECHNICAL COMMS PROJECT MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations for initiatives related to protected military communications.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with organizational goals.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as needed.
- Provide expertise in protected military communication requirements.
- Support the analysis of concepts, communications requirements, OPLANS, acquisition documents and related technical and non-technical documents, ensuring project requirements are accurately captured.
- Work with stakeholders to gather and document project requirements, translating technical information into actionable project tasks.
- Collaborate with technical experts to codify recommendations in Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), Concept of Employment (CONEMPs), Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) as project deliverables.
- Identify and recommend improvements for AEHF/Protected SATCOM management processes within the context of project execution.
- Assist government leads with the identification and analysis of AEHF SATCOM-related capability gaps, requirements, analysis, and review related briefs, white papers and other documents, incorporating this analysis into project planning.
- Develop and present analytics, briefs, and technical support for leadership reviews, work sessions and briefings, conveying project status, outcomes and facilitating discussions.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Required Education: BA/BS; degree in business management, IT, or engineering field preferred
- Required Experience: Minimum 10 years experience to include 6+ years' experience in project management, preferably within the government technology or defense industry.
- Required Technical Skills: Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Scrum)
- Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility.
- Required Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects from initiation to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management
- Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders at various levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience working with Protected Systems (e.g. MILSTAR, AEHF) and military communications systems
