Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Digital Engineer with the desire to learn new technologies to join our innovative Software and Digital Technologies (SWDT) homeroom to help develop, enhance and maintain digital and embedded technologies on cutting edge products and systems. Candidates will work on software systems for mission systems in all phases of the software development lifecycle, primarily in C/C++ and Java.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Installation, configuration, tuning, vulnerability assessment and remediation
- Automated installation, testing and maintenance of operating systems (Redhat, Windows workstation and server, etc.) on hardware and virtualized machines
- Developing scripts to automate and manage hardening of operating systems.
- Network configuration of switches and routers
- Lab environment management (physical, network management, etc.)
- Hardware management (configuration, troubleshooting, processor architecture)
- Knowledge of hardware and digital integration
- Virtualization: ESXi, Red Hat Kernel-based Virtual Machine(KVM), Microsoft Hyper-V, Oracle VirtualBox, VMWare Workstation

- Ability to maintain a DoD Secret Clearance prior to starting

Senior Principal Engineer Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience, master's degree with 6 years of experience, Ph.D. with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- US Citizenship is required
- Ability to maintain a DoD Secret Clearance prior to starting
- 5 years of Integration or Test experience
- 2+ years of technical leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- MS Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or STEM related field with at least 7+ years of professional experience in related industry
