Northrop Grumman's Employee Communications team seeks a creative, innovative Principal Employee Communications Representative who is confident in being a strategic advisor, thrives on the challenge of informing and inspiring employees around business priorities and culture, loves to story tell, and constantly seeks to improve through disciplined measurement, analysis and adjustment. This position reports to the Employee Communications manager for Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector, and will be based at our Melbourne, FL site.
This position is Hybrid with some time working from a Northrop Grumman facility and some time allowed for telework. This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80 which allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

In this job, you'll:
- Inform and inspire employees and drive business priorities within the company's Aeronautics Systems sector while ensuring alignment with enterprise business and communications priorities.
- Own and maintain the Aeronautics Systems Employee Communications integrated editorial calendar. You'll help our extended team track milestones, tactics and communications plans, and will maintain our editorial calendar across channels (newsletters, intranet, digital signage, etc.). Observing data over time, you'll recommend timely tactics for communication plans, helping teammates understand which channels will yield the greatest impacts toward their goals.
- Be a storyteller: Conceptualize, procure and produce a diverse array of engaging content about our people, technologies, successes and business capabilities. Content
- will range from articles and videos, to interviews, Q&As, brief/catchy lists, infographics, and photo/caption features.
- Oversee Aeronautics Systems-wide newsletters, including our all-employee newsletter and our leader newsletter. You'll own the editorial calendars for each, incorporating enterprise-wide syndicated content and providing Aeronautics Systems content to keep our employees informed and engaged. You'll make data-driven recommendations on how we can make our publications more readable and engaging.
- Support employee communications for one of Aeronautics Systems' divisions, to include writing, editing, distributing and measuring strategic and timely business announcements, news items, digital content, talking points, articles and other communications. Advise division leaders on employee, executive, culture and change communications.
- Oversee metrics and assessment for communications channels, making recommendations on how to improve performance.
- Partner with other communications teams across the enterprise to amplify messaging and ensure alignment
- Ensure all communications plans and tactics are consistent with the company's strategic vision and reflect the Northrop Grumman brand.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of communications experience, or a Master's degree in prior fields and 3 years of experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong judgement, problem solving and organizational skills, and superb attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing omni-channel editorial content for a newspaper, news channel, video, magazine or other venue.
- Experience in employee or executive communications.
