About our local organization: You'll be joining our Aurora Software and Electronics/Payloads Department which has ~200 Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Systems Administrators, Database Administrators, Network Engineers, and Engineering Leaders from entry-level to the most senior chief engineers and architects to Product Owners and Scrum Masters. This engineering organization supports numerous programs across Business Units and Operating Units of the NG Space Systems Sector. About the program: Join "Starfleet", an on-contract program supporting a critical national security mission spanning both development and operational phases. "Starfleet" is powered by the Data Management team, headquartered in Aurora, CO, with team members distributed across various Northrop Grumman locations and partner company sites nationwide. The team comprises approximately 40 engineering professionals focused on delivering mission-critical solutions. Our team structure includes agile Scrum teams led by dedicated Product Owners and Scrum Masters, alongside a Site Reliability Engineering group supporting operational needs. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Basic Qualifications:
- Staff Level 5 : Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 12 + years of related experience; or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 10 + years of experience, or PhD with 8 + years of experience.
- Active TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance at the time of application
- Ability to obtain SCI clearance (not required to start)
- Ability to pass a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly) (not required to start)
- Experience developing data management solutions with Java and Python
- Deep understanding of mathematical models
- Experience and ability to apply algorithms to solve real world problems
- Experience developing production software in an agile development lifecycle
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance at the time of application
- Prior working experience in space systems, intelligence operations, battle management and/or command and control systems
- At least 6 years of agile software development experience
- Experience developing applications on Linux based operating systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, testing, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to quickly move from prototypes to operational capabilities
- Ability to effectively communicate and present to program management and customers
- Ability to effectively write technical documentation
- Ability to travel (very limited, up to 10%)
