The Boeing Company's Specialized United States Infrastructure organization is currently seeking a Mid-Level Systems Administrator to join the team in Hazelwood, MO.
This role is centered on delivering technical leadership and project support for strategic, enterprise-level hosting environments, primarily catering to initiatives within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business unit.
An ideal candidate will recognize the value of collaboration, as this position involves direct engagement with program customers and the Information Technology operations team to manage and support operations, sustainment, and integration activities for proprietary customer programs.

Position Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain information systems that comply with Risk Management Framework (RMF) security requirements
- Use agile practices and tools to organize and prioritize work
- Design and implement technical solutions for complex infrastructure problems across multiple platforms
- Support day-to-day operations and maintenance and drive operational excellence to meet SLA/OLA objectives
- Monitor and optimize system performance and service management, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, operations monitoring, ticketing, capacity planning, forecasting, backups, and disaster recovery
- Support program planning and onboarding activities required to qualify and integrate candidate programs into an integrated infrastructure-as-a-service environment
- Coordinate with IT Business Partners, Cyber Security, and Program and IT management on significant technical, security, and operational matters
- Provide comprehensive end-to-end computing support in closed/enclave environments from endpoints to servers and the network components that connect them
- Provide systems and application support including troubleshooting, patch management, anti-malware, and auditing
- Protect classified and proprietary information and administer user/system access with safeguards that meet security requirements
- Install, configure, and maintain multi-platform systems hardware, software, and components
- Restore routine to complex computing service operations and integrate security solutions into systems
- Evaluate and communicate complex system problems and resolutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Perform on-site hardware installation, cabling, and configuration as needed
- Identify computing requirements and ensure systems conform to architectural objectives
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- RMF compliant with a Security+ certificate or obtain certification within first 6 months
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing IT security and systems solutions
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting operating system and installation issues across multiple OS platforms (e.g., Windows, Linux, Unix variants).
- 5+ years of experience with virtualization technologies and managing virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
- 5+ years of experience administering user/system access and implementing safeguards to meet network security requirements
- 5+ years of experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting current server and desktop operating systems and associated applications.
- Experience applying Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines to achieve or maintain compliance
- Experience using metrics to measure and report performance against projects and operational goals
- Experience supporting Unix/Linux server and workstation environments (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar) to enable consistent, high-quality integration and deployment of assets
- Experience automating OS deployment and configuration using scripts and tooling
- Experience with broad systems and application support experience including backups, network switch configuration, patching, and system upgrades
- Experience planning and executing OS and COTS software upgrades and patching
- Experience with agile methodologies and tooling
