Aircraft Structural Mechanic.
Our team is committed to delivering exceptional results, and we're looking for a skilled and experienced Aircraft Structural Mechanic to join our team.

What You Will Be Doing:
As an Aircraft Structural Mechanic, you will be responsible for:
• Modifying, repairing, and maintaining the structural configurations of H-6, H-60, and H-47 rotary-wing aircraft. You will execute scheduled and unscheduled inspections, structural repairs, and modifications on airframe structures and components, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards and supporting mission-critical operational readiness.
• Perform mid-to-complex modifications to frames, beams, fuselage, wings, tail assemblies, landing-gear attachments, doors, and hatches using riveting, fastening, trimming, sanding, bonding, and composite repair techniques.
• Perform inspections for structural damage, corrosion, cracks, and other defects; execute removal, treatment, and preventative programs.
• Fabricate, install, and replace sheet-metal and composite panels, fairings, and structural components per engineering drawings and service bulletins.
• Interpret engineering drawings, repair manuals, structural repair schemes, and service bulletins; ensure accurate entry of work in maintenance logs, modification/production instructions, and military documentation systems.
• Perform rigging tasks to verify proper alignment of airframe assemblies and control surfaces after repairs or modifications.
• Provide structural repairs in both flight-line and depot environments; coordinate with depot shops for major repairs and back-shop support.
• Adapt to shift variations, travel (requirement), and deployment requirements (if necessary).

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Aircraft Structural Repair - Firm understanding of the basic, to moderate, fundamentals of modifying, repairing, and maintaining structural components. Capability to execute structural repairs at both flight-line and depot levels.
2. Must be familiar with tools of the trade such as pneumatic riveters/drills/shears/grinders, as well as common shop machinery such as press brake/band saw/drill press/box & pan brake, etc.
3. Aircraft Composites Knowledge - Proficient in aviation composite repairs, modifications and installations.
4. Maintenance Documentation - Ability to accurately record repairs, inspections and modification maintenance logs, modification and production instructions, and military documentation systems.
5. Quality Assurance - Demonstrated skill in verifying completed work order against airworthiness standard and mission requirements.
6. Operational Flexibility - Ability to work in team environments, independently, and adapt to shift changes, travel (requirement) or deployment (if necessary).
Desired Skills:
1. Experienced Composite background.
2. Demonstrated experience in composite material fabrication, inspection and repair.
3. Proficiency with composite layup techniques, including wet layout, pre-preg and vacuum bagging.
4. Knowledge of bonding, curing and finishing processes for composite structures.
5. Ability to perform structural and non-structural composite repairs in accordance with technical manuals and industry standards.
6. Familiarity with NDT methods (e.g., ultrasonic, Tap test) for composite damage assessment.
7. Skilled in tooling, trimming and fitting composite components to precise tolerances.
8. Firm understanding of safety protocols and handling procedures for composite materials, adhesives and resins.
9. Experience documenting repair processes and quality assurance checks to meet compliance requirement.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
