You will be the Software Systems Architect, F-22 for the F-22 Program which is responsible for delivering advanced software solutions that keep the Raptor at the forefront of air superiority.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Software Systems Architect, F-22 you will be responsible for shaping the end-to-end software architecture that translates mission intent into robust, mature system solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and oversee software system architectures and related design activities.

  • Serve as the central point for development and communication of the software system architecture.

  • Translate mission requirements into comprehensive system solutions while accounting for design and technology maturity constraints.

  • Lead internal and external design reviews, collaborating with international teams.

  • Define models, architectural guidelines, and interface specifications to enable continuous capability advancement.

You are a collaborative, forward-thinking engineer with deep expertise in agile development, DevSecOps, and Model-Based Systems Engineering. Your track record on the F-22 program and experience with proposal and cost estimating demonstrate a blend of technical mastery and programmatic insight. You thrive in multi-disciplinary environments, communicate complex concepts clearly, and are driven to deliver innovative solutions that enhance national security.

Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline (Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering preferred)
• Demonstrated experience with software architecture, networking, and/or computer resources (memory, processing, etc.)
• Demonstrated knowledge of systems architecture best practices
Desired Skills:
• Expertise in agile software development, DevSecOps, Model Based Systems Engineering, and Systems Engineering
• Experience with the F-22 program
• Experience with proposals and cost estimating for military programs
• Strong programmatic and communications skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
