Economic Security Intelligence Analyst (All-Source)

Primary Location: National Capital Region (NCR)

Clearance: Active DHS Top Secret (TS) clearance required; SCI eligibility preferred

Ability to work remotely: No (NCR-based position)

Job Summary

The Economic Security Intelligence Analyst provides all-source intelligence analysis and mission support. The analyst supports the full intelligence lifecycle-planning, collection, analysis, production, and dissemination-focused on threats to U.S. economic security, competitiveness, and resilience. This role directly supports senior DHS leadership, interagency partners, and external stakeholders by delivering timely, actionable intelligence on supply chain vulnerabilities, illicit trade, intellectual property theft, foreign malign economic influence, and related national security threats.

Specific Responsibilities

The Economic Security Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for the following core areas:
  • Intelligence Analysis & Production: Conduct all-source intelligence analysis related to economic and trade security threats, including supply chain vulnerabilities, illicit trade, foreign malign economic influence, and intellectual property theft. Research, analyze, and draft finished intelligence products tailored for DHS senior officials, Component operators, policymakers, and federal, state, local, and private-sector partners.
  • Collection Support & Intelligence Planning: Support development, coordination, and implementation of economic intelligence collection documents, collection strategies, postures, and integrated intelligence campaign plans. Identify intelligence gaps and assist in drafting collection requirements and Requests for Information (RFIs). Support concepts of operations (CONOPS) for task forces, working groups, and interagency initiatives.
  • Analytic Methodology & Indications & Warning (I&W): Assist in establishing and executing analytic methodologies, including preliminary analysis and triage of indications and warnings, cross-cutting methodologies, in-depth analysis of current high-priority threats, and long-term strategic threat analysis. Contribute to NST analytic standards, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Outreach, Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement: Support NST outreach activities with federal, state, local, private-sector, and international partners. Assist government leads with preparation for briefings and senior-level engagements, working groups and task forces, and exercises, projects, and conferences. Coordinate intelligence inputs across DHS Components and external partners to support integrated threat understanding.
  • Programmatic, Administrative & Mission Support: Provide programmatic and management support directly related to Economic Security Intelligence strategies and plans, analysis and production workflows, analytic method development, and outreach and engagement activities. Assist with tracking tasks, deliverables, and deadlines to support high-tempo mission execution.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Required qualifications for this position include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies, International Relations, Economics, National Security Studies, Political Science, or related field
  • 3-7+ years of intelligence analysis experience (depending on labor category)
  • Active DHS Top Secret (TS) clearance required; SCI eligibility preferred
  • Demonstrated experience producing intelligence products for senior government decision-makers
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with the Intelligence Community (IC) and DHS intelligence processes
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting economic security, trade security, or counter-malign influence missions
  • Familiarity with supply chain risk analysis, foreign investment review processes, export controls and trade enforcement
  • Experience working in interagency or task force environments
  • Experience briefing senior executives or policymakers
