SATCOM Network Admin

Description:

Our client has an opening for a SATCOM Network Administrator at Hill AFB in Layton, UT. An active secret clearance and Security+ certification are required. The ideal candidate will being 2-5 years of experience working with and configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining SATCOM equipment. Successful candidates will also have experience working with different radio frequencies such as HF, VHF, and UHF among others. Candidates will need to possess both strong SATCOM experience and possess network troubleshooting aptitude with devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct network and telecommunications system incident investigation.

• Identify and document network errors and solutions.

• Analyze network and telecommunications alarms and identify potential issues.

• Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices such as firewalls, cryptographic devices, and routers to optimize performance and ensure the desired security posture is attained and maintained.

• Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices, phone systems, including phone units, voicemail, switches, infrastructure, call manager systems, Video Teleconference (VTC) systems video recording/viewing/distribution systems

• Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices
