Duties
Help
  • Manage a multi-disciplinary team to ensure understanding of Enhanced Logistics Readiness Program (ELRP) policies, objectives, and desired outcomes.
  • Analyze operational constraints and human factors influencing ELRP policy adjustments.
  • Conduct research to inform ELRP policy and operational concepts for future engagements with Allies and Partner Nations (APNs).
  • Prepare briefings, information papers, and decision documents based on research findings.
  • Manage ELRP budgets and resources to ensure efficient allocation and support for logistical and maintenance initiatives.
  • Develop plans and milestones that outline ELRP capabilities and focus Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAIs) on achieving strategic goals.
  • Coordinate the execution of ELRP Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAIs) in Central and South America and the Caribbean.
  • Collaborate with Security Cooperation Offices (SCOs), working groups, and divisions to develop ELRP metrics, assessments, and evaluations.
  • Strengthen regional logistics and maintenance capabilities to support APNs and enhance operational readiness.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) managing Security Cooperation (SC) programs, logistics operations, and maintenance activities, along with strong skills in policy development, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and resource management; 2) coordinating logistics and maintenance activities in support of SC programs and collaborating with partner nations to enhance regional logistics and maintenance capabilities; 3) managing budgets and resources for SC and logistics programs, including familiarity with funding mechanisms ensuring compliance with financial regulations and guidelines. It is preferred for the incumbent to speak Spanish but not required. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
