Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in vehicle system design, power electronics, and routed cabling to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 6–10 years of professional experience, including work on defense contracting programs and military vehicle platforms. This role involves designing, integrating, and validating electrical systems for ground vehicles, ensuring compliance with stringent military standards and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

System Design & Integration
Develop and implement electrical architectures for military vehicles, including power distribution, control systems, and communication interfaces.
Design and specify power electronics components such as converters, inverters, and motor controllers for vehicle applications.

Cabling & Harness Design
Create routed cabling designs, harness layouts, and connector specifications to meet environmental and EMI/EMC requirements.
Ensure proper routing for maintainability, reliability, and compliance with military standards.

Technical Leadership
Provide guidance on electrical system trade studies, component selection, and risk mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.

Compliance & Documentation
Prepare detailed design documentation, schematics, and interface control drawings.
Ensure adherence to MIL-STD requirements and other defense-related specifications.

Testing & Validation
Support system-level testing, troubleshooting, and verification activities for electrical subsystems.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical input throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (Master’s preferred).

Experience: 6–10 years of relevant engineering experience in vehicle systems and power electronics.

Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, DC/DC converters, and high-voltage architectures.
Experience with routed cabling design and harness development for complex vehicle platforms.

Defense & Military Background:
Hands-on experience with defense contracting projects and familiarity with military vehicle requirements.
Understanding of MIL-STD electrical and EMI/EMC compliance.

Tools & Skills:
Proficiency in electrical CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Zuken, or similar).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with hybrid or electric propulsion systems for military vehicles.
Familiarity with CAN bus, Ethernet, and other vehicle communication protocols.
Knowledge of environmental and reliability standards for harsh operating conditions.
