Modern Technology Solutions Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an experienced Program Management and Space Acquisitions Professional to provide Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) support to the United States Space Force (USSF) Mission Delta 2's (MD2) 2d Sustainment Squadron (2STS) responsible for developing, maintaining, sustaining, and innovating SDA hardware, software and the supporting architecture for the organize, understand, plan, decide, direct, and monitor capabilities within the C2 Joint Capability Areas (JCAs). A successful candidate should be a self-starter and problem solver who possesses initiative, excellent communication skills, and has the ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $175,000/year to $205,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.

Job responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Creating and managing the coordination of acquisition products and staff processes
- Assisting in the development of Operational Concepts for employment of development modernization efforts
- Effectively tracking, managing, and coordinating office communications with internal and external entities
- Working with the Government to respond to and resolve action items and recommendations from sources such as Acquisition Decision Memorandums, the Government Accountability Office (GAO), National Defense Authorization Acts (NDAA), and independent studies
- Supporting Government Leadership transitions through the development of continuity documentation, coordination of deep dive briefings, and facilitation of key personnel and stakeholder introductions
- Supporting and advising contract evaluations, source selections, and other acquisitions and contract-related actions per Government request and approval
- Supporting the development, modification, coordination, and approval of acquisition strategy document(s), acquisition plans, memorandums of agreement, memorandums of understanding, and other acquisitions supporting material
- Participating in risk management activities to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may impact operations, fielding, operational acceptance, and general mission execution
- Supporting collaborative root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action analysis and providing recommendations to the Government for implementation
- Assisting product support operations through the development of Logistics Health Assessments, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Product Support Strategies, and other product support-related documentation
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with a variety of external offices
- Providing technical and project management guidance for assigned projects or major phases of significant projects or programs by coordinating the efforts of designated technical staff
- Conducting system-level design reviews as requested by the Government
- Assisting with budgets, forecasts, manpower requirements, equipment needs, and supply requirements for the assigned area of responsibility
- Using architectural roadmaps to identify areas for efficiency, gaps for investment, and opportunities for new technology insertion
- Supporting team members in completion of proposals, contract deliverables, task order review, briefings, and presentations
- Providing expertise and advice to the customer, utilizing knowledge typically acquired through related technical education and experience
- Developing and managing the creation of contract deliverables and reports in accordance with project requirements
- Demonstrating advanced problem-solving skills by identifying issues and proposing effective solutions
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- 15 years of relevant DoD and/or IC (or other agency) work experience
- Experience creating strategic communications products for OSD, Joint Staff, and DAF Leadership
- Experience with acquisition policy/processes
- Experience with DoD budgeting/ finance processes
- Experience with developing and coordinating staff packages and navigating staffing processes
- Demonstrated relationship and team-building skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills to include effective time and project management
- Experience with presenting and communicating technical data to various audiences
Desired Experience:
- Relevant experience in Space Systems Command (SSC) or USSF
- 5 years of strategic communications experience
- 2 years of Special Access Programs (SAP) experience
Education /Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
- Master's Degree (desired)
Security Clearance Level Required:
- Top Secret (Must be a U.S. Citizen)
- SCI eligible
- SAP eligibility
Location/Travel Requirements:
- Place of work is Colorado Springs, CO area, remote work opportunity is limited
- May require travel up to 25% of time within the continental United States
