MTSI is seeking a Weapon Systems Engineer with a strong background in weapon systems design, integration, and operations, coupled with advanced data analytical skills, to support critical Department of Defense weapon systems cyber survivability and resiliency initiatives as part of the Cyber Resiliency Office for Weapon Systems (CROWS). This role involves a blend of engineering expertise aimed at ensuring the resilience and security of advanced weapon systems throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
This effort includes providing technical reviews for engineering studies, programs, and policy reviews, as well as performing rapid-response engineering support for problem resolution. While program protection and cybersecurity engineering knowledge is desirable, expertise in weapon systems engineering is the core requirement for this position.

Qualifications
Required:
• 10+ years of experience supporting weapon systems engineering, including demonstrated knowledge of weapon system design, integration, test, and/or operational employment.
• Strong data analytics / quantitative analysis skills, including the ability to develop defensible, mission-relevant findings from complex technical and operational datasets
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex engineering work efforts, influence stakeholders, and provide authoritative technical recommendations.
• Experience developing and delivering clear written products and high-impact briefings for senior technical and non-technical government leaders.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to work independently in a dynamic, high-tempo mission environment.
Desired:
• STEM Bachelor's degree (engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or related technical field).
• Master's degree in a STEM field.
• 20+ years of total relevant experience supporting DoD and/or IC mission environments.
• Familiarity with Program Protection Plans, cybersecurity frameworks, or cyber resiliency engineering.
• Military operational background, especially related to the operational employment of weapon systems.
• Familiarity with DoW acquisition environments and processes, including technical reviews, test planning/support, and program execution documentation.
• Experience with one or more of the following:
o Program Protection Plans (PPP)
o Cyber survivability / resiliency engineering
o Threat-informed systems engineering / system risk management
• Experience supporting classified and/or special access programs.

Essential Job Functions
Your responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Analyze weapon systems' design, integration, and operations across their lifecycle, focusing on ensuring optimal system performance and mission success.
- Lead and execute data-driven engineering assessments, performance analytics, and operational effectiveness evaluations supporting senior decision-making.
- Evaluate the cyber posture of new and legacy systems by analyzing cyber risks; develop prioritized mitigation strategies.
- Serve as a senior technical advisor supporting weapon systems engineering activities across the lifecycle to include concept development, requirements definition, design, integration, test, fielding, operational support, and sustainment.
- Execute rapid-response engineering support for critical problem resolution and provide technical expertise to cybersecurity incident response teams.
- Assist with implementing cybersecurity resiliency measures and contribute to efforts enhancing survivability and operational effectiveness against emerging threats.
- Develop technical products including engineering assessments, analytic reports, briefings, and decision support documentation for senior government stakeholders.
Qualifications

- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Masters degree and 10 years of experience or a bachelors degree and 18 years of experience.
