As a Senior Manufacturing Process Specialist, you will spearhead the development and management of comprehensive process plans within our MES, guiding highly complex and critical production builds. You will translate sophisticated engineering designs into precise, detailed work instructions, optimize extensive assembly and installation activities, and ensure process plans are meticulously aligned with production schedules. You will lead cross-functional collaboration efforts, ensuring continuous improvement, superior efficiency, and the highest quality standards.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $85,768.30 - $117,931.40. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage clear, concise, and practical work instructions based on engineering designs, utilizing the MES to effectively guide the production build process and ensure accuracy and efficiency on the production floor.
- Determine planned durations and weightings within sequencing of work instructions to enable the production team to effectively track build progress.
- Ensure work instructions are available in alignment with the Production Build Plan.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, quality control, and production teams to incorporate changes and enhancements as the product definition matures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of work instructions to incorporate the latest engineering changes and process improvements.
- Assisting production staff with MES and ensuring they understand and can effectively implement new and updated work instructions.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
- 6+ years of experience in a related field.
- Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of related experience is required.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to machinists and other shop personnel, including troubleshooting machine and process issues.
- Design and optimize machining processes to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and repair of manual and CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment, tools, and technologies to enhance machine shop capabilities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in machining operations.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to refine part designs for manufacturability.
- Expert proficiency with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering designs with the ability to interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications.
- Proficiency in the creation of work instructions in Manufacturing Execution Systems or through other methods of documentation such as physical travelers.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office product suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent.
- Extensive experience and leadership in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and managing aircraft modifications.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or the US Military.
- Experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Operations Management.
- Familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.

- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Primarily office-based with potential hybrid work options.
