Position Summary
Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Drafter supporting an Air Force acquisition mission at Hill AFB, UT. The candidate will advise and assist in computer aided design and drafting, supporting the development, updating, revision control, and maintenance of detailed Technical Data Packages (TDPs) required for manufacturing and quality assurance of weapons systems and related parts. The role includes converting two-dimensional drawing packages to solid models and applying in-depth experience in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Responsibilities

- Advise and assist in computer aided design and drafting
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed TDPs and related documentation with revision control
- Convert two-dimensional drawing packages to solid models, including intricate castings with machined features, gears, and complex assemblies
- Apply in-depth experience in GD&T
- Liaise with architects and engineers to gather product and structural requirements
- Calculate dimensions, weight limitations, and material requirements
- Create detailed designs using CAD software
- Prepare and review rough sketches with the engineering team
- Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality
Qualifications

- CAD drafting and detailed design development

- Strong attention to detail supporting QA/manufacturing documentation
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams during design reviews
