Markon is seeking an experienced System Administrator to support a 200+ FTE technical development program enabling an IC customers Entitlement Programs and Identity & Access Management (IdAM/ICAM) capabilities, including Authentication, Authorization, Attributes, and Digital Policy Management. This position includes participation in an on-call rotation to ensure mission services remain operational (typically 1 week every ~2 months)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on engineering support to implementation teams for cloud priorities and execution
  • Support the design and delivery of enterprise software solutions in AWS
  • Maintain secure and reliable infrastructure, including:
    • Security patching
    • Server support in AWS environments
  • Ensure mission-critical applications remain operational 24/7
  • Support a COTS service that delivers attribute data via LDAP to hundreds of Sponsor systems
  • Develop innovative technical approaches using professional experience and best practices
  • Create clear technical documentation and communicate effectively across teams
  • Operate within Agile/Scrum development methodologies


Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience
  • Expert-level experience administering Linux-based systems, including strong command line (Bash) skills
  • Experience supporting security accreditation processes
  • Experience working with AWS / Cloud technologies
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automated deployments
  • Understanding of enterprise cloud architecture/design concepts in AWS
  • Ability and willingness to perform Privileged Access/System Administration duties, including on-call rotation (~1 week every 2 months)
  • Experience with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats)
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including:
    • Software Development
    • Systems Engineering / V&V
    • Security / Compliance
    • Quality Assurance
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Familiarity with DevOps/CI/CD technologies, such as:
    • GitHub, Jenkins, Puppet, Docker, Rundeck (or similar)
  • Ability to read and execute complex software and infrastructure deployment instructions


Salary Range

USD $160,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.
