Markon is seeking an Expert Systems Engineer / Policy Developer to support a technical development program enabling the Sponsor's Entitlement Programs and Identity & Access Management (IdAM/ICAM) capabilities, including Authentication, Authorization, Attributes, Entitlement Management, and Digital Policy Management.
This role works closely with a large team of developers, software engineers, and data engineers to support the development, implementation, and operational success of mission-critical systems and policies. The ideal candidate brings strong systems engineering fundamentals, hands-on Linux experience, and expertise supporting secure, cloud-enabled environments

Responsibilities
- Support system buildouts, testing, maintenance, monitoring, and operational readiness
- Ensure designs align with system architecture and allocated technical requirements
- Analyze and address user requirements, procedures, and operational issues to automate and improve system performance
- Perform systems engineering analysis activities including:
- Functional analysis
- Timeline analysis
- Cost estimation
- Requirements allocation
- Interface definition and integration studies
- Identify system integrity risks and develop solutions across the full system lifecycle (concept through disposal)
- Integrate systems, services, and supporting components into operational environments
- Summarize results and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support the development, documentation, and execution of system policies
- Provide release management support, including deployment readiness, coordination, and execution
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience
- Experience supporting AWS / Cloud environments
- Experience providing Linux system administration
- Strong customer support and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with Release Management (deployment readiness, coordination, and execution activities)
- Experience with IdAM / ICAM delivery systems, including:
- Authentication
- Authorization
- Attributes
- Entitlement Management
- Digital Policy Management
- Experience supporting security accreditation processes
- Experience with Puppet (Bash preferred)
