About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to define product vision, manage backlogs, and ensure successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. This is a highly technical role supporting a team of engineers building complex systems. The TPO must have the ability to analyze technical requirements, understand system architecture, and write detailed features and user stories that guide development. You will partner closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure clarity, technical feasibility, and timely execution.

Key Responsibilities Product Ownership & Delivery Oversight
  • Define and maintain product vision, roadmap, and backlog aligned with business objectives and technical constraints.
  • Gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements from stakeholders; translate them into epics, features, and user stories with clear technical acceptance criteria.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams, including architecture, ensuring transparency and shared understanding.
  • Employ technical and thought leadership to drive products from inception to release, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and delivery goals.
  • Collaborate with engineers to validate feasibility, clarify technical dependencies, and ensure solutions meet performance and security standards.
  • Coordinate readiness efforts for releases, including pre-launch quality checks and internal sign-offs.
  • Establish post-launch monitoring and analyze product performance to inform future priorities.
  • Communicate product health, risks, and successes to program leadership and customer stakeholders.
  • Work with and align with Training and Communications team on training needs, and provide support as necessary to both TAC and in user facing calls


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 or more years of experience; OR Associate's degree plus 7 or more years of experience; OR Master's degree plus 3 or more years of experience
  • 5+ years in a technical role with experience as a Product Owner or similar role in Agile environments to include:
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust Clearance
  • Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.
  • Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare domain and/or federal contracting.


Professional Skills
  • Experience balancing technical debt, platform work, and feature delivery
  • Strong technical background with ability to understand APIs, data models, integration patterns, and system architecture.
  • Experience writing detailed technical user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe).
  • Experience managing product backlogs and using tools like Jira.
  • Experience supporting distributed teams and scaling Agile delivery.
  • Knowledge of human-centered design principles in Agile environments.
  • Strong technical communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to synthesize delivery and product data into actionable insights.
  • Skilled at facilitating cross-team coordination and removing delivery blockers.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing strategic priorities with tactical execution.
  • Known for driving accountability, delivery focus, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

$81,499.00 - $138,549.00
