Overview

Summary:

Strategic Initiatives Advisor partners with executive leadership to identify, evaluate, and advance high-impact strategic priorities across the organization. This role provides analytical insight, structured problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination to drive initiatives that support long-term growth, operational excellence, and organizational transformation.

The Advisor operates as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders, translating vision into actionable plans and ensuring strategic initiatives are effectively designed, executed, and measured.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning & Analysis
  • Advise executive leadership on enterprise-level strategic priorities and emerging opportunities
  • Conduct market, financial, operational, and competitive analyses to inform decision-making
  • Develop business cases, strategic frameworks, and scenario analysis for new initiatives

Initiative Development & Execution
  • Lead or support the design and rollout of cross-functional strategic initiatives
  • Translate strategic objectives into clear goals, milestones, and performance metrics
  • Monitor initiative progress, risks, and outcomes; recommend course corrections as needed

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with internal leaders and external partners to align priorities and resources
  • Facilitate executive meetings, workshops, and strategy sessions
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, briefings, and decision memos

Performance Measurement & Governance
  • Define KPIs and success metrics for strategic initiatives
  • Track results and report progress to leadership
  • Support change management efforts to ensure adoption and sustainability

Continuous Improvement
  • Identify process improvements and organizational efficiencies
  • Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and innovative approaches
  • Provide thought leadership on strategic, operational, and organizational issues
  • Other duties as assigned


EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, corporate development, or a related role
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior or executive leadership
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Preferred

  • Master's degree (MBA, MPA, or similar)
  • Experience in management consulting or enterprise strategy roles

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • All work is performed on-site in accordance with DOD/MDA Policies, Directives, and Processes.
  • Work is performed indoors with some potential risks to safety and health hazards related to electronics.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • May require lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard and monitor.


WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:

DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
