Description:PRINCIPAL DUTIES

1. Operates overhead cab crane and other specialized towing and hoisting equipment, to lift, move and position a variety of large or heavy parts and sub­ assemblies, equipment, machinery and fixtures.

2. Drives and operates all types of electric or gas powered light and heavy duty fork lift equipment in support of productions operations to hoist, transport and position large and heavy fixtures, materials, tools, assemblies, etc. Drives fork lift equipment to work site and decides proper method of loading, hoisting, and handling load.

3. Lifts, moves, and positions sections of tanks and places such section in position for assembly, modification or minor testing.

4. Performs lifting, moving and positioning of large, cumbersome items which may require working in conjunction with another cab crane, fork lift truck or other hoisting device. Rigs loads to be moved with appropriate lifting and holding devices.

5. Ensures that balance and distribution of load is maintained and that weight of load is in compliance with capability of crane. Performs proof loading of handling equipment under the direction of higher graded technical employee.

GENERAL DUTIES

1. Move equipment, assemblies, material, and tools to designated locations to maintain normal production operations.

2. Required to work under special environmental conditions, lose quarters, stacking and tiering tools, heavy materials, parts, etc.

3. May be required to perform a variety of other manual tasks incidental to and/or related to material or production handling activities.

4. Responsible for routine cleaning and housekeeping of immediate work area.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Requires a high school diploma with 1 year of more of related experience.

2. Requires compliance with standard safety precautions

3. Ability to obtain and maintain certifications as required.

4. Requires moderate physical effort to operate and climb to and from crane and to secure slings, straps and other rigging devices. Requires occasional exertion of considerable effort to manually turn or pull material or equipment to a new position or location.

5. Knowledge and proficiency in the use of crane operations equipment and electric or gas powered light and heavy duty fork lift equipment

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
