This range is for California only.
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:

Senior Model Based Systems Engineer
KBR is seeking a Senior Model Based Systems Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.
In this position, you will:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and develop products in Working Groups that address the design/development, production, and integration of Space Control systems.
- Build an understand of the adversarial threats-based kill chains facing US space assets.
- Facilitate/develop/present resolution of issues related to system-of-systems integration.
- Develop and maintain mission architecture interface requirements for Space Control programs.
- Perform cross-mission area architecture development through the identification of potential synergies and efficiencies across multiple mission areas based off of existing roadmaps and SSC Program Directorate-developed architectures.
- Evaluate and characterize the known trade-space and ensure requirements mapping of newly developed enterprise-level cross-mission area architectures.
- Develop candidate architectures that resolve common functions into common/enterprise solutions and reduce the cost associated with acquiring and maintaining multiple systems to achieve the same function.
- Collect, analyze, and report on data collected during system-of-systems integration events.
Qualifications:
Required:
- An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
- 10+ years of relevant technical experience in aerospace.
- 7+ years of applied experience using Model-based System Engineering (MBSE) tools such as SPARX or CAMEO.
- Independent problem solving with a variety of mission architecture systems engineering abilities, including knowledge and experience in requirements development and analysis.
- Ability to work effectively with customers and program stakeholders and have robust written and verbal communication skills.
- Mission Engineering experience is a plus.
Desired:
- Master's degree in engineering.
- Experience with classified programs.
- Mission Engineering experience is a plus.
- Experience in Space system design, development, production and acquisition.
- Experience with technical mentorship.
- Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Level 1 and 2.
Work Environment:
- Location: On-site at the Aerospace Complex
- Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%
- Working Hours: Standard
