One Federal Solution is seeking a Senior Security Adjudicator to join our team in Washington, DC. The Senior Security Adjudicator serves as a subject-matter expert responsible for adjudicating complex, high-risk, and sensitive national security cases, including appeals and exception-based determinations.
Senior Security Adjudicator Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Adjudicate complex, high-risk, and sensitive security clearance cases, including appeals and special determinations.
Apply whole-person adjudication principles to evaluate risk to national security.
Perform quality assurance and consistency reviews of adjudication decisions.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level adjudicators.
Advise leadership on policy interpretation, adjudicative standards, and emerging threat or risk patterns.
Produce clear, defensible written decisions suitable for audits, legal review, and IG investigations.
Ensure adjudication outcomes align with federal regulations, executive orders, and agency-specific guidance.
Senior Security Adjudicator Qualifications & Requirements:
Deep expertise in federal adjudicative guidelines and security clearance processes.
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Studies, Political Science, Psychology, or a related field
Demonstrated experience with senior-level adjudications in government or cleared contractor environments.
5–10+ years of experience in personnel security, background investigations, or adjudication
Strong independent judgment and ability to make risk-based national security decisions under ambiguity.
Proven experience handling appeals, exceptions, and complex cases.
Excellent written and analytical skills, particularly for decision documentation.
