Overview
VTG is seeking a Summer Intern to support the PEO IWS 80 team across multiple U.S. Navy programs. The intern will assist with research, data collection, and analysis related to program objectives, schedules, and risks. Responsibilities include helping prepare briefings and documentation, supporting program coordination efforts, and participating in meetings and reviews to gain exposure to Navy acquisition and program management activities.

VTG's estimated starting pay range is $20-30 hourly which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.

What will you do?
- Support the IWS 80 team with day-to-day program and engineering management activities across U.S. Navy programs.
- Assist with research, data gathering, and basic analysis to support program planning, schedules, and risk awareness.
- Help prepare presentations, briefing materials, and meeting summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings, reviews, and working groups to gain exposure to Navy acquisition and program execution processes.
- Provide support in tracking program actions, requirements, and deliverables.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining team collaboration and knowledge-sharing tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, SharePoint).
- Contribute to documentation development, including reports, reference materials, and process guides.
- Collaborate with team members across technical and program disciplines in a professional office environment.
Do you have what it takes?
Required Skills
- College student majoring in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical disciplines.
- Ability to communicate and defend complex analytical results verbally and in various forms of written products precisely and concisely.
- Ability to support diverse programmatic and technical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Skills
- Experience planning, creating, and delivering customer briefings and demonstrations.
- Ability to think analytically, creatively, and critically.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
