Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst – Level 4
Fulltime with Karthik Consulting
Location: Hybrid role in the Washington DC metro area
Clearance: Top Secret clearance
Position Description
The Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst (Level 4) provides all-source cyber threat analysis in support of Intelligence Community (IC) missions. The analyst applies IC analytic tradecraft to assess adversary cyber capabilities, intent, and activities, producing finished intelligence products that inform operational planning, cyber defense, and national security decision-making.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct all-source analysis of foreign cyber threats, including nation-state and state-sponsored actors
• Analyze adversary cyber capabilities, intent, and TTPs across the cyber kill chain
• Produce IC-standard finished intelligence products, including serialized reports, assessments, INTSUMs, and briefings
• Apply structured analytic techniques and comply with ICD 203 analytic standards
• Integrate cyber intelligence with geopolitical, technical, and operational context
• Support cyber operations, defensive missions, and incident response with timely intelligence
• Collaborate with IC, DoD, and interagency partners to support mission objectives
• Participate in analytic working groups, threat exchanges, and intelligence forums
• Maintain threat actor profiles, databases, and analytic repositories
• Operate across multiple classification levels in accordance with handling and dissemination requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• 3 years of experience providing cyber threat intelligence or intelligence analysis within the Intelligence Community
• Demonstrated experience producing finished intelligence products for IC consumers
• Working knowledge of cyber threat actors, malware, and intrusion techniques
• Familiarity with IC analytic tradecraft and standards (e.g., ICD 203)
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, or related field
(Relevant IC experience may be substituted for education)
• Active TS/SCI clearance (polygraph as required by customer)
Desired Qualifications
• Experience supporting cyber operations or defensive cyber missions
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, or Diamond Model
• Experience integrating OSINT, SIGINT-derived reporting, or cyber telemetry
• Strong written and oral briefing skills for technical and non-technical audiences
