A Day in the Life - What You'll Do
- Serve as a Linux System Administrator supporting enterprise classified networks
- Provision, integrate, and maintain Red Hat-based systems supporting development and mission environments
- Implement and manage HPE High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters
- Diagnose system issues, execute corrective actions, and support continuous system reliability
- Perform system upgrades, patching, monitoring, and configuration management
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security access controls
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, hardware, software, and systems engineering teams
- Communicate technical information clearly to stakeholders at all organizational levels
Required Qualifications
Citizenship & Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active DoD Secret clearance at time of application
Level II
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience
- OR Master's degree with 0 years of experience
- OR 6+ years of total experience in lieu of degree
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience
- OR Master's degree with 3+ years of experience
- OR 9+ years of total experience in lieu of degree
- IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g., Security+ CE)
- Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8/9
- Experience with Ansible automation
- Experience with Red Hat Identity Manager (IDM)
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite Server configuration and management
- Experience creating and maintaining user and computer accounts
- Experience managing file permissions and security access lists
- Experience testing new product releases for compatibility and user impact
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% (CONUS and/or OCONUS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI
- Experience managing HPE High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters (e.g., HPE CM)
- Experience with MPI implementations (IntelMPI, OpenMPI, MPICH)
- Experience with InfiniBand networks and protocols
- Experience with NVIDIA CUDA libraries and GPU environments
- Experience with job schedulers such as Slurm or PBS
- Experience with global and parallel file systems (e.g., GPFS)
- Experience with Data Diode or Cross Domain Solution (CDS) technologies
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with Cameo or similar Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools
