A Day in the Life - What You'll Do
- Serve as a Network Engineer supporting enterprise classified environments
- Design, plan, and implement network communication systems for development and mission operations
- Produce detailed network architectures, specifications, and schematics
- Conduct testing and validation of network designs prior to deployment
- Configure, integrate, and maintain network hardware and software including routers, firewalls, gateways, and related infrastructure
- Evaluate emerging network technologies to enhance performance, resilience, and security
- Troubleshoot network issues, perform diagnostics, and implement corrective actions
- Recommend and execute network upgrades, patching, monitoring, and configuration management
- Communicate effectively with technical teams, leadership, and external stakeholders
Required Qualifications
Citizenship & Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active DoD Secret clearance at time of application
Level II
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience
- OR Master's degree with 0 years of experience
- OR 6+ years of total experience in lieu of degree
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience
- OR Master's degree with 3+ years of experience
- OR 9+ years of total experience in lieu of degree
- Experience configuring Cisco network communication products
- Ability to create and maintain IP addressing and management plans
- Proven ability to troubleshoot network communication issues and implement corrective actions
- Experience deploying network solutions within Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% (CONUS and/or OCONUS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- CompTIA Network+ certification
- Experience with InfiniBand networks and InfiniBand protocols
- Experience with Data Diode or Cross Domain Solution (CDS) technologies
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with Cameo or similar Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools
