Our client requires Senior Software Engineers to deliver and sustain enterprise applications across front-end and back-end stacks. The engagement emphasizes React, Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and relational databases, with strong focus on system reliability, cyber compliance, and collaborative delivery.

Rate: $70.00 to $80.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain assigned applications by testing upgrades, resolving issues, and ensuring continuous operation.
• Participate in application design, development, installation, and database administration aligned with established IT processes.
• Provide tactical design input, technical specifications, configuration management, and project coordination for moderately complex solutions.
• Collaborate with technical leads and customers to interpret and apply functional and system requirements.
• Communicate with IT teams to support assigned applications across all phases of the development lifecycle and COTS support.
• Perform root-cause analysis, define corrective actions, and prioritize critical tasks to maintain availability.
• Utilize engineering tools including configuration and change management, vulnerability scanning, and debugging.
• Guide and mentor less experienced personnel and review documentation, requirements, design specifications, and deliverables.
• Lead moderate-sized initiatives by defining tasks, priorities, milestones, estimates, and schedules.
• Conduct feasibility studies for automation opportunities and establish cost-benefit parameters.
• Develop and execute test plans and participate in code validation and efficiency reviews.
• Review policies and procedures for technical accuracy and contribute to cross-functional team improvements.
• Evaluate new requests, recommend improvements, and estimate effort for moderately complex solutions.
• Support software infrastructure, maintain cyber compliance, and perform software and database installations and upgrades.
• Plan for future database requirements including disaster recovery and storage needs while protecting information confidentiality.

Experience Requirements:

• Experience developing web-based applications with React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive UI design.
• Back-end development experience with Core Java and Spring Boot, including REST API development.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server or Oracle, including SQL, stored procedures, and scripting.
• Familiarity with ORM frameworks and related tooling.
• Proficiency with relational database tools such as TOAD and SSMS.
• Experience with Eclipse or SpringTools and CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps or TFS.
• Demonstrated use of Agile methodology and full application lifecycle development.
• Ability to perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and ensure application availability.
• Experience guiding or mentoring team members and leading moderate-sized initiatives.
• Ability to maintain cyber compliance and perform software and database upgrades.
• 5 years' experience developing web-based applications, or 7 years with a nonrelated or associate degree (preferred).
• 3 years' experience with SQL Server, Oracle, Service Oriented Architecture, REST APIs, and relational database tools (preferred).
