Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as an Electrical Engineer, T2, based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Engineering team, where they will work on the Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) suite of products as a Test Engineer.
What You'll get to Do :
Researches, designs, develops, tests, and identifies improvements / corrective actions for a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including Lasers, Laser Transmitters, Ultraviolet sensors, Infrared sensors, system Processors along with an assortment of test equipment and associated systems.

Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Troubleshooting production hardware to determine the root cause of failures and identify corrective actions
- Support production floor and test technicians
- Lead/support non-recurring (NRE) projects
- Optimizing processes to reduce costs and increase throughput
- Maintaining processes and procedures in accordance with ISO standards
- Working with suppliers to resolve technical hardware issues
- Creating and analyzing metrics/data analysis
- Hardware integration and test
- Create engineering documentation (change notices, parts lists, bills of materials, test reports, test procedures)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office
Basic Qualifications Electrical Engineer, T2 :
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience; or Master of Science (MS) degree in an equivalent field.
- Experience with troubleshooting electronic hardware - basic RF or Digital troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, power supplies, network analyzers, etc.
- The ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications Electrical Engineer, T2 :
- Experience with lasers and optics
- Experience with Data analysis and root cause / corrective actions
- Experience in troubleshooting test stations
- Experience in troubleshooting manufacturing unit hardware
- Experience in coding to create scripts/automation
- Experience in Python / C# is a plus.
