in this position you will:
• Lead and mentor quality assurance staff consisting of Quality Engineers and technical teammates.
• Ensures the quality, compliance, and on-time delivery of products throughout the supply chain by managing supplier performance, enforcing quality standards, and implementing corrective actions.
• Lead the evaluation and approval of suppliers and monitor key performance indicators.
• Develop strategy to lead assessments and onsite audits to ensure compliance.
• Lead the development of recovery plans for supplier accountability and process improvement activities.
• Collaborates with program management, engineering, supply chain, and government customer on quality related issues.
• Monitor metrics to assure compliance, accountability, and risk mitigation.
• Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develops strategies to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Quality engineering, Procurement Engineering or related field
• Active Secret Clearance
• Proven experience in quality engineering and management. Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
• Understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, Root Cause Analysis (8D)
• Strategic Thinking, Independent decision-making , Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal Skills.
* Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and retain high performing technical teams; experience conducting performance reviews.
• Ability to manage complex supplier relationships.
• Prior experience managing distributed/remote QA teams.
• Ability to travel
Desired Skills:
Ability to translate complex technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.
Basic knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), Basic understanding of Aerospace Supply Chain process and regulatory flow downs.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
