Program Overview

A staff augmentation program dedicated to providing expertise and capabilities to IC restricted customer.

About The Role

Systems Engineer: The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, relevant certifications, and experience managing enterprise-level communication systems and field experience with the customer.

Responsibilities:
  • Clearly articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience in written and oral communication;
  • Use technical expertise to provide communications solutions and options to the customer for commercial messaging applications and network configurations;
  • Understand the operational needs of the customer;
  • Responsible for understanding commercial messaging systems in terms of security and scalability;
  • Reviewing design architectures to determine to advise on performance and security;
  • Collaborate with customer and tech providers to develop secure options for the mission user;
  • Understand standards, policies and best practices for commercial messaging systems; and,
  • Ensure messaging systems comply with the relevant cyber security regulations and policies.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph;
  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proactive self-starter able to support multiple efforts simultaneously and dynamically pivot priorities based on leadership guidance;
  • Ability to understand and document technical concepts;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and deadlines efficiently;
  • Resourceful and capable of finding solutions to unforeseen issues;
  • Ability to proactively engage and drive technology projects forward independently or as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills;
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products to include Word, PowerPoint,
  • Organizational Skills: Able to manage multiple tasks and deadline;
  • Technical Acumen: Comfortable with technology and can grasp technical concepts quickly, even without a formal engineering degree;
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Resourceful and capable of finding solutions to unforeseen;
  • Leadership Qualities: Motivates and guides the team to achieve project goals;
  • Flexibility: Adaptable to changing circumstances and able to fill in wherever needed;
  • Attention to Detail: Ensures that nothing slips through the cracks, maintaining high standards of quality; and,
  • Self-Motivated: Takes initiative and drives projects forward independently.

Must have two of the following:
  • Network Fundamentals: Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls), and network design principles.
  • Wireless and RF Technology: Expertise in 802.11 standards, radio frequency (RF) technology, and the configuration/management of wireless access points, crucial for modern mobile messaging.

  • Commercial Messaging Platforms: Familiarity with specific commercial platforms and technologies like SMS, MMS, VoIP, and potentially modern variations like WhatsApp Business API, RCS, etc., including an understanding of how to set up and manage these services within a business context.
  • Cloud Services: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) as many commercial messaging solutions are cloud-hosted or integrated.
  • System Integration & Application Program Interfaces (APIs): Proficiency in integrating different software applications, including knowledge of APls, middleware, and database management (SQL) to ensure seamless data flow between messaging systems and other business tools (CRM, ERP).
  • Network Security: Strong knowledge of network security protocols, threat mitigation, and compliance standards to protect sensitive business communications.
Highly Desired Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated field experience supporting the Sponsor and the mission;
  • Cable writing experience;
  • Prior experience with customer supporting senior level management;
  • Prior experience working across organizational boundaries to achieve mission.

Details

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
