About The Role
Peraton is seeking a Program Manager to support the NOAA AWIPS program - the mission-critical system used by National Weather Service forecasters nationwide to track storms, analyze real-time weather data, and issue alerts that protect lives and property. As the Program Manager, you will provide overall leadership and direction for this highly visible program, ensuring the stability, modernization, and ongoing success of a system that plays a vital role in safeguarding communities across the country.
This position is hybrid. Must be local to one of the following Peraton facilities: Melbourne, FL, Aurora, CO, Herndon, VA, San Antonio, TX, Houston, TX, Omaha, NE, Huntsville, AL, King of Prussia, PA, or Silver Spring, MD.
Responsible for managing the cost and schedule requirements of a product line through all phases from proposal to product distribution. Ensures that all resources such as engineering, manpower, production, computer time, facilities and sales force are available to support the product line. Develops and/or implements techniques to track product line performance against goals. Work with customers to determine needs, requirements and new business opportunities.

Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

What You'll Do:
- Serve as the overall lead for contract execution and the primary point of contact.
- Provide leadership and oversight of all program activities including O&M, modernization, transition, and mission assurance.
- Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), and program risk management.
- Direct financial, staffing, and technical performance across all task areas.
- Engage senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with mission objectives.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 12 years of experience, may have supervisory or management experience
- PMP certification.
- Experience managing large Federal IT and O&M contracts.
- Experience using Agile principles to lead successful cloud migration efforts for mission critical systems
- Demonstrated experience with mission-critical, high-availability enterprise systems.
- Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Public Trust
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting NOAA, NWS, or similar mission-critical weather/environmental IT systems.
- Background in cloud migration or large-scale IT modernization programs.
- Active/Current Public Trust
