The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. Team Submarine unifies submarine platform procurement activities, which includes the Columbia-class SSBN program (a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navy's top acquisition priority), the Virginia-class SSN program and the new SSN-X program (developing the next generation attack submarine), to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces. Analysts and Engineers supporting Team Submarine will continue SPA's decades of support to the SSBN force, as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction, assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition. #MC

Responsibilities
Your role will be to:
- Collaborate with program leadership, managers, and stakeholders to develop, maintain, and refine integrated schedules for current and future programs, ensuring alignment with program goals, technical planning, and resource allocation.
- Assist in the development, implementation and utilization of software tools and trackers which will analyze and monitor scheduling, production timelines, financial data, and program performance trends.
- Analyze industrial production schedules and execute schedule scenario planning to optimize workflows, mitigate risks, and support decision-making.
- Conduct cost, schedule, performance, variance, and risk analyses to identify potential issues and recommend mitigation strategies to improve program planning, control, and financial execution.
- Assist program leadership with financial and schedule-based trend assessment and the development of analytic tools used for risk mitigation, financial analysis, and stakeholder briefings.
- Support program and project management activities, including schedule coordination, resource management, and ensuring efficient workflow processes in industrial/shipyard environments, which may require onsite presence.
- Review and ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with government specifications and standards for acquisition processes and program deliverables.
Qualifications
Required
- Ability to work onsite, up to full-time, based upon the needs of the client
- Current DoD security clearance - minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM, Business, Management, or Data Science field
- 5+ years experience supporting defense manufacturing, Navy shipbuilding, research and development, defense acquisition programs, or other relevant initiatives
- Proven ability to coordinate, communicate, and act across multiple government and industry stakeholders, with the ability to simplify complex problems, make actionable recommendations, and independently tackle analytic and managerial challenges
- Skills in full Microsoft suite to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI, and Project at a minimum

- Skills in a coding language such as Python or other equivalent coding language
- General understanding of industrial and/or shipyard production processes and practices
- Knowledge of the relevant government resource planning systems such as Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP)
