Position Summary
Odyssey Systems is seeking a Engineering Technician to support an Air Force program at Lackland Air Force Base. This position involves planning and executing engineering-related tasks across multiple technical domains. Responsibilities include supporting technical inspections, project scheduling, system testing, evaluation of processes and equipment, and leading efforts within smaller projects or portions of larger programs. The ideal candidate brings broad, transferable knowledge across engineering disciplines and demonstrates strong analytical and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or a related technical field
Years of Experience: 6 years of relevant technical experience supporting engineering projects

- Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of engineering-related projects of limited scope or as part of larger efforts.
- Conduct engineering-related research, data analysis, and technical evaluations in support of program goals.
- Inspect, evaluate, and provide recommendations for engineering systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Assist in the development, testing, and standardization of systems, devices, and materials.
- Support problem-solving efforts and propose technical solutions for identified issues or deficiencies.
- Participate in the preparation of technical documentation, project plans, and reports.
- Coordinate and schedule project activities, working with engineers, program managers, and stakeholders.
- Apply knowledge and skills that are transferable across various engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil, systems).
- Assist in the review and assessment of technical specifications and system performance criteria.
- Monitor compliance with technical and safety standards.
- Support the implementation and use of engineering tools, databases, and modeling systems.
