Electrical Engineer – Journeyman
Location: San Diego, CA (On-site)
Position Overview
The Journeyman Electrical Engineer will support engineering efforts related to Combat Identification (CID), Identification Friend or Foe (IFF), and Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems. This role performs technical tasks under the guidance of senior engineers and program leadership, contributing to system integration, testing, analysis, and documentation in support of DoD and Navy programs.
Key Responsibilities
Support the investigation, analysis, design, development, integration, testing, and evaluation of ID, IFF, and ATC equipment, systems, and subsystems
Assist with system integration, configuration management (CM), quality assurance (QA) testing, and acquisition support activities
Contribute to engineering and technical documentation, including analyses, reports, and change proposals
Support software, component, and system development related to military systems and associated support systems
Collaborate with senior engineers and program stakeholders to execute assigned engineering tasks
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an approved engineering discipline (see discipline list below)
Foundational understanding of electrical or electronic engineering principles
Ability to work in a structured, mission-focused engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to DoD, Navy, or defense-related engineering programs
Familiarity with systems engineering, integration, or test environm
