Northrop Grumman is looking for a savvy, strategic Communications professional to deliver content and messaging to our divisions across the Aeronautics Systems Sector. Reporting to the AS Program Execution Homeroom Manager, this role will work in a collaborative environment across the sector delivering compelling and high-impact content that is strategically aligned and helps achieve business and communications goals and objectives.

You'll make a difference by:
  • Providing strategic planning support, tactical execution and creative brainpower to support programs across the sector's strategic priorities.
  • Developing content for business focus areas and priorities, partnering with functional colleagues and leadership to align to business objectives.
  • Using objectives-based storytelling in developing content and messaging.
  • Developing and executing integrated communications plans aligned to strategic priorities that deliver measurable results.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of communications, public relations, marketing or journalism experience or master's degree in communications, public relations, marketing or journalism
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing and deploying strategic communications campaigns and measuring business impact
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or Top Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a large, matrixed and/or geographically dispersed organization
  • Experience developing productive relationships with executives
  • Experience in technology, aerospace, defense or other science-related business or government fields
  • Demonstrated judgement in decision making and leadership actions with capabilities to drive change through creative and/or other disruptive methods, ideas and approaches
  • Understanding of AP Stylebook


Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
