Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer for the Triton program in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego CA at the Autonomous Design Center of Excellence.
The selected candidate will fill the role of Triton SEIT Deputy Development Lead for the Triton Systems Engineering IPT. In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for leading a diverse engineering design teams to provide imaginative, technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems across the Triton Development Program as part of the Triton Enterprise. This includes scope across the entire spectrum of the Systems Engineering V-Model. The candidate will be executing system integration tasking across the entire lifecycle of a system and integrating new capabilities on the MQ-4C Triton platform. The selected candidate will lead SE disciplines including requirements development, use case development, capability (hardware and software) development, integration planning, lab integration, test planning, formal test, and verification. Additionally, the selected candidate will be responsible for leading the efforts of Triton Systems Engineerings' Specialty Engineering disciplines including Cybersecurity, EMI/EMC, System Safety and Human Factors (HFE).
The selected candidate will also be expected to lead tasking and provide direction in establishment and management of the technical baseline including Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) development and technical configuration and change management.
This is a full time on-site role with no opportunity for regular telecommuting.

Primary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Lead cross-IPT development of system level requirements and use cases
- Implement requirements verification methodology and traceability
- Lead development of interface definitions and integration plans
- Lead formal integration campaigns for new development hardware/software
- Support capabilities based system level testing of fully integrated complex software and hardware subsystems
- Lead evaluation and disposition of integration and test anomalies and assist disposition and correction of issues as found
- Manage flowdown of new capabilities and configurations of developmental IFCs into Production and Fielded assets
- Evaluate proposed technical changes and lead development of future capability roadmaps within specified capability areas
- Lead and evaluate proposal bids for Systems Engineering IPT proposals
- Act as Control Account Manager (CAM) for Triton SEIT Development portfolio
- Act as Delegate of Authority (DOA) for SEIT Development Lead as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 12 years of engineering experience; Master's degree in a STEM discipline with minimum 10 years engineering experience; or PhD degree in STEM discipline with minimum of 8 years of engineering experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience of technical cross-discipline teams
- Demonstrated experience in cost/schedule management for complex technical program
- Experience in developing, preparing and defending proposal bids for technical programs
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance
- MS Degree in STEM discipline with applicable work experience
- Familiarity with HALE ISR UAV programs (Triton, RQ-4)
- Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering specialty disciplines (cybersecurity, safety, EMI or Human Factors)
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering V model and Design processes
- Familiarity with TeamCenter PLC and JIRA/Confluence
- Demonstrated experience with IFC Development and Management
- Familiarity with requirements decomposition and verification campaigns
