Lockheed Martin's Rotary and Mission Systems Enterprise Mission Command & Control (EMC2) team is seeking a proven technical leader to serve both as the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for the CommandIQ product line and as the Independent Research & Development (IRAD) Principal Investigator (PI) that will drive advanced research to extend the CommandIQ ecosystem.
CommandIQ's vision is to provide Battle Management Command & Control (BMC2) capabilities - driving the evolution of joint multi-domain mission integration through advanced, agile, and interoperable C2 solutions. The Product Line is organized into 5 Integrated Product Teams across Mission Services, System Suite, Mission Apps, View, and Ecosystem. We are seeking exceptional technical leadership talent to deliver next-level BMC2 solutions.
THE WORK
In this important role, you will:
• Define and own the IPT scope - ensure alignment with RMS policies, the program-defined process, and contract requirements.
• Define and own the IRAD project scope and IPT roadmap.
• Cross-IPT technical coordination - drive the technical business rhythm and facilitate communication among sub-IPTs
• Plan and execute an IPT plan/schedule/taskings to meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality goals to include risks and mitigations and alignment to the agile development process and overall product line master plan.
• Set the vision, goals, road map and lead the team to achieve it.
• Monitor cost/schedule performance against the plan, drive corrective actions, and report status to the PIT/SEIT.
• Interface with program management, customers, and certification authorities

Basic Qualifications:
• 15+ years of progressive experience in systems engineering, integration, and test of aerospace or defense systems.
• 5+ years in a lead or principal technical role overseeing large-scale I&T or Command and Control (C2) campaigns/programs
• Experience in systems engineering processes and system integration functions to include requirements management, architecture development, system integration, test, and verification
• Model-based Systems Engineering experience
• Strong communication, stakeholder-engagement, and risk-management abilities.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing the critical skills of others
• Experience leading teams in generation of technical data products
• Capture Experience including authoring proposals, developing BOEs, and developing strategies and technical solutions
• Understanding of DevSecOps Practices inclusive of Agile Product Development leveraging Scrum & Kanban
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required
• Ability to be onsite in Colorado Springs monthly
Desired Skills:
• Prior experience executing a program that is part of a common product line
• Experience in IAMD or C2 Systems/Programs
• Experience working on both domestic and international programs
• Prior experience as a Lockheed Martin L-code leader, product leader, or SE Lead
• Demonstrated digital transformation or 1LMX experience
• Experience with model-based testing, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), and flight test operations.
• Earned Value Management experience either as a CAM or project engineer/manager.
• Master's degree (preferred) in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Engineering Management, or related discipline.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
