Description:
You will be the Mechanical Engineer for the Precision Strike Missile team. Our team drives the design, development, and fielding of world class strike weapons, delivering high performance mechanical solutions that keep the missile on schedule, under budget, and compliant with DoD and Lockheed Martin standards.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Engineer you will own the creation, coordination, and release of every mechanical design artifact that fuels the program. Working side by side with product engineers, production planners, and the global supply chain, you'll turn concepts into solid model geometry, Model Based Design (MBD) deliverables, and validated tolerance analyses that enable rapid, reliable manufacturing.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Build and maintain 3 D solid models and 2 D drawings in the Digital Product Lifecycle Management (dPLM) environment.
• Produce release ready engineering documents (drawings, BOMs, assembly parts lists) for fabrication and procurement.
• Perform tolerance stack up and fit analyses to guarantee manufacturability and reliability.
• Apply MBD principles, embedding GD&T and feature control frames directly in the CAD model.
• Coordinate design changes across cross functional teams and keep dPLM baselines current.
• Support Production Planning, Operations, and Global Supply Chain with accurate, up to date design data and troubleshooting.
• Identify and implement innovative design solutions to resolve complex mechanical challenges.
• Lead design reviews, incorporate feedback, and secure formal engineering release approvals.
• Maintain documentation compliance with DoD and Lockheed Martin standards.

Further Information About This Opportunity:
This position is in Grand Prairie, TX.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be possess a Final Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.

Proficient in PTC CREO and Windchill.

Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing

Experienced with Microsoft Office.

Must have a Final Secret clearance with an investigation in the past 5 years.
Desired Skills:
Willingness to occasionally travel.

Project management experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
