Description:Role Overview
As a Development Test Lead, you will play a key role in shaping and executing system-level developmental testing for complex aerospace systems. You will work closely with integrated product teams to plan, coordinate, and lead testing efforts that ensure system performance, reliability, and readiness.
This role combines technical leadership, hands-on test planning, and cross-team collaboration, with opportunities to influence program outcomes from early development through execution.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
• Develop and execute system-level developmental test plans and procedures
• Support component and subsystem testing led by program teams
• Contribute to the development of test concepts of operations (CONOPs)
• Lead or support Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), and design reviews
• Coordinate testing activities across IPTs and partner organizations
• Oversee and guide other engineers, providing technical direction and daily task prioritization
• Analyze test data and document results through clear, comprehensive test reports
• Identify, track, and document discrepancies; support regression testing to verify fixes
• Ensure test solutions align with technical requirements, schedules, and cost constraints

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must meet all requirements
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in developmental hardware testing at the system, subsystem, or component level
• Proven experience leading individual contributors, including assigning priorities and guiding day-to-day work
• Experience collaborating with integrated product teams (IPTs) across multiple locations or organizations
Desired Skills:
Nice-to-have skills that strengthen candidacy but are not required
• Experience supporting missile or space vehicle development programs
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to brief senior program leaders and stakeholders
• Broad exposure to one or more of the following areas:

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
