Great Hill Solutions, LLC seeks an experienced Epidemiologist III to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in providing advanced epidemiological, surveillance, and analytical support for viral vaccine-preventable disease programs. This role supports portfolios including Measles, Mumps, Rubella, CMV, HPV, Varicella Zoster Virus, and other herpesvirus programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent epidemiologic studies to support CDC public health priorities.
  • Lead analysis of surveillance, laboratory, survey, and administrative datasets (e.g., NHANES, MarketScan, iQVIA, Medicare, EMR data).
  • Design and maintain data workflows, dashboards, and analytic products to support surveillance and research activities.
  • Perform advanced statistical analyses using SAS, R, SPSS, Epi Info, SUDAAN, or similar tools; develop tables, figures, and visualizations for publication and briefing.
  • Support protocol development, IRB submissions, and ongoing compliance with human subjects requirements.
  • Collaborate with CDC staff, laboratories, and external partners to ensure data quality, secure data transfer, and protocol adherence.
  • Author and co-author scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations for peer-reviewed journals and scientific meetings.
  • Support outbreak investigations, emergency response activities, and other agency priorities as required.
  • Provide regular progress reporting and respond to internal and external epidemiologic inquiries.


Basic Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field.
  • 3-7+ years of progressively responsible experience in epidemiology, public health research, or surveillance.
  • Experience conducting epidemiologic analyses using statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, STATA, SPSS, Python).
  • Demonstrated experience in data collection, management, cleaning, visualization, and interpretation.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree (PhD or DrPH).
  • Experience supporting CDC or other federal public health programs.
  • Experience with large surveillance systems and healthcare administrative data.
  • Strong scientific writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced or emergency response environments.
