Duties

As a ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC LEADER, WL-2610-13, you may be expected to accomplish the following:
  • Perform personnel training evaluations and spot checks work
  • Investigate causes of critical or major defects and assure corrective actions are taken
  • Inspect systems to determine if necessary modifications have been accomplished
  • Assure that all required modification work orders have been applied and necessary records updated
  • Monitor and report on the status and progress of work
  • Coach the team in the selection and application of appropriate problems solving methods and techniques

Military Grades: E-5 (immediately promotable to E-6) TO E-7

Additional Employment Requirements:
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license

Security Clearance : This position requires the Selectee to possess an Active Secret Security Clearance.

General Experience
Must have the following experience(s):
  • Working as an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic
  • Leading Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanics
Specialized Experience
Must have 24 months of the following experience(s):
  • Utilizing principles, basic functions and application of theory of electronic integrated systems equipment
  • Diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic integrated systems equipment
  • Making mechanical repairs that required the use of precision measuring and calibrating equipment
  • Using a wide variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE)
  • Interpreting technical manuals, specifications, and publications.
In addition to the experience above, you must have the following experience(s) as well:
  • Planning, organizing, and leading the work of others in fields directly related the repair function of an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic.
  • Performing administrative functions to include reading and interpreting a variety of technical publications used in the repair of supported equipment
  • Providing guidance to others in work relating to Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanics
