Specialized experience is defined as: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: creating reports to support strategic initiatives; coordinating executive functions to engage stakeholders; and supporting operational missions through resource planning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

- Assist with the development and management of strategic plans for the DHA enterprise.
- Assist with long term, futures and innovation matters for the DHA enterprise.
- Align and manage the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and Military Health System (MHS) Governance Processes.
- Assist with the education of leadership on the competencies necessary to support long term strategic planning process versus a reactive operational model.
- Draft, edit, and provide analysis for reports and communications to include Headquarters, Networks, Regions and other reporting units on the DHA and MHS related to strategic development and management.
