What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Dispatch officers and/or contract resources to alarms, calls for service, and incident locations in accordance with site procedures and post orders.
- Monitor cameras, intrusion/fire panels, and other monitoring systems; assess activity and escalate concerns to site leadership and/or responding personnel.
- Receive and route phone calls, radio traffic, and electronic requests; maintain clear communications with officers, client representatives, and emergency services as needed.
- Document incidents, dispatch activity, and shift events in logs and reports, including times, actions taken, and notifications made.
- Support access control operations by verifying authorization, processing visitor entries, and coordinating badge issuance and/or credential updates per site policy.
- Assist with coordination of deliveries, contractors, and maintenance requests by directing traffic flow, verifying approvals, and notifying appropriate contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
- Participate in drills and post briefings; follow escalation paths for aerospace and defense locations, including handling sensitive areas and controlled information per site policy.
- Use Allied Universal reporting tools and communication platforms to record activity, complete required documentation, and relay shift pass-down information.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Have an armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
