NSC Staffing is seeking skilled Marine Electricians w/ Active Clearance for an exciting upcoming project in Norfolk, VA. We are looking for candidates with 2-5 years of experience as an electrician, with solid working knowledge of shipboard and industrial/commercial practices, especially on military bases and industrial facilities.

Essential Job Functions -Electrician
As a Marine Electrician, you will be responsible for:

1. Repairing, installing, replacing, and testing complex electrical circuits, cables, and equipment.
2. Utilizing hand tools and specialized testing equipment for inspection and maintenance.
3. Inspecting and testing various electrical systems, including lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits.
4. Identifying defects in electrical systems such as wiring, switches, and motors using specialized tools.
5. Replacing faulty elements such as switches, sockets, and wiring.
6. Dismantling and repairing electrical machinery replacing defective mechanical or electrical components.
7. Installing motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures and completing circuits according to diagrams.
8. Working from technical documentation, including blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
9. Providing guidance and leadership to junior team members.
10. Ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with established safety procedures.
11. Participating in special projects as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Secret clearance (Final or Interim) required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a commercial or marine electrician.
• Hands-on experience with complex electrical systems and components.
• Ability to work independently from technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong working knowledge of shipboard and industrial/commercial electrical systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and experience working in compliance with safety protocols.
• Leadership experience in guiding less-experienced team members is a plus.
