Job Description

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, report concerns with clear communication, and provide customer service to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, labs, offices, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, and report unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, checking government-issued identification, and processing visitors per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disturbances, and policy violations.
  • Complete security-related reports and daily activity logs with clear, accurate details, and promptly escalate issues through the chain of command.
  • Support protection of restricted and controlled areas by confirming authorization, challenging unknown persons as appropriate, and coordinating escorts when required.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, and visitors, providing directions and service while maintaining post orders.
  • Assist with emergency actions such as evacuation support, accountability checks, and coordination with local responders as directed by site procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned consistent with the post profile and location requirements.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
